In a preview of Mariah Carey’s E! docuseries, “Mariah’s World,” the pop star is seen kissing one of her dancers, Bryan Tanaka, who is now her boyfriend.
In last night’s episode, Mimi celebrated her “anniversary,” which is what Mariah calls her birthday. To her surprise, Tanaka popped out of a giant cake and proceeded to give her a lap dance straight out of “Magic Mike.”
While rehearsing for the bit, Bryan, 33, told cameras, "I’ve been really excited to see if we could get back to that camaraderie. Back to that friendship.”
The two are now an item, but while filming in March for the “Butterfly” singer’s 46th birthday, she was still engaged to billionaire James Packer — they would call off the engagement seven months later.
The “Emotions” singer’s manager, Stella Bulochnikov, could see that Tanaka was catching feelings, telling cameras, "I can see where Tanaka thinks that he can cross the lines a little bit."
In the preview, Bryan asks Mariah, “Are you really going to marry this guy?” The pop diva responds, “Why?” Bryan replies, “I just want you to be happy,” to which Mariah confusingly answered, “I don’t even know anymore.”
In the last several scenes, Mariah says, “No matter what happens, I am going to follow my heart,” and they ultimately kiss.
While the docuseries was meant to follow Mariah and her trip down the aisle with Packer, it looks like viewers will instead be getting a glimpse into her new relationship.
“Mariah’s World” airs Sundays on E!.
