Longtime partners Martin Freeman and Amanda Abbington have called it quits. The couple had been together since 2001 and have two kids together, Joe and Grace.
During an interview with The Financial Times, Freeman said, "I'm not with Amanda anymore. It’s very, very amicable — I'll always love Amanda.”
Freeman mentioned that his success could be partly to blame for the breakup. "To a certain extent, yes. Not as much as it might have done, and not as much as maybe I would have hoped it had.”
The actors’ characters tied the knot on the BBC hit show during Season 3, but the two never married in real life. Abbington told The Guardian last year, "There’s no point [in marrying]. I’ve got photographs of me in three different wedding dresses with him."
After meeting in 2000, the two went on to work together on multiple projects including “Men Only,” “Swinging with the Finkles,” “The All Together” and the TV movie “The Debt.”
