Jennifer Garner was given the Giving Tree Award at the 5th Annual Baby2Baby Gala Saturday night, recognizing her commitment to helping low-income kids.
The star-studded event — sponsored by John Paul Mitchell Systems, Vestiaire Collective, Volvo, and Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors Foundation — was held at 3Labs in Culver City, California, and raised a record-smashing $2.9 million to support its work on behalf of low-income families.
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell hosted, welcoming guests and introducing Baby2Baby's co-presidents, Kelly Sawyer Patricof and Norah Weinstein.
In her speech, Garner said, "But truly, imagine not having the option of making your child comfortable — imagine living in a life of poverty that seems to have no way out. You don’t have to imagine it — follow Baby2baby’s case workers back to where they are making donations, to any of the number of shelters, to Save the Children’s programs in Central Valley, California. Once you see the way our neighbors are living, you can’t unsee it, I can promise you that."
Celebs on hand to witness Jennifer's big night included Kate Hudson, Molly Sims, Ali Larter, Busy Phillips, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Alba, and many more.
