Taylor Swift is known for her girl squad. When it’s one of their birthdays, she makes sure it’s a day to remember — and that’s exactly what she did for singer, Lorde’s 20th birthday.
To kick off the day of celebrating yesterday, Taylor Instagrammed a hand-painted card for Lorde which read, "Thank you for the music you make, the advice you give, the thoughts you provoke, and the way you've made my life more beautiful since the first day we met up in New York and ate burgers on a park bench and got attacked by squirrels. I. Love. You. So. Much. Ella.”
Then last night, Taylor hosted a dinner for the “Royals” singer at ZZ’s Clam Bar in New York City. Swift even decorated the joint beforehand with festive balloons which spelled out "U R 20" and party hats for the guests to wear.
Many of their pals joined in on the festivities, including Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, Rachel Antonoff, Mae Witman, and a few of Lorde’s childhood friends from New Zealand.
After the festivities, Lorde posted on her social media a photo with Karlie Kloss and Taylor which read, "had the best birthday party i've ever had tonight surrounded by my nyc family. all organised by tay who is as she says "a mom with no kids". i am ur kid and u love me so hard i could burst. here's to our 3 magic years of best friendship and more moments like this squished between angels.”
