Earlier this morning, Jimmy Kimmel rolled out the red carpet in preparation for his hosting gig at the 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards and chatted with “Extra’s” Charissa Thompson about what he has in store for Sunday.
The late-night personality, who is hosting the show for the second time, channeled his inner Marcia Clark for the cover of the Hollywood Reporter. He said, “I don’t think I ever looked more beautiful.” He also took on “Game of Thrones’” Jon Snow and Elliot Alderson from “Mr. Robot” for the issue. Jimmy told Charissa, “nobody is off-limits” when it comes to his jokes on Sunday.
And don’t be surprise if the current presidential race will be in the mix. Jimmy said, “It’s a big election, everybody’s talking about it — obviously it will be something that comes up.” Kimmel is excited to see if any of the celebrities use their acceptance speeches to share their political views.
What everyone else is looking forward to seeing is whether Kimmel’s fake feud with BFF Matt Damon will be a bit on the show. He laughed, “I think America has had enough of him.”
Damon recently told “Extra’s” AJ Calloway at the Toronto International Film Festival he wants to crash the show. Jimmy responded to Matt’s plan, saying, “It’s time to send Matt Damon back to Mars.”
Kimmel also revealed he is stepping up his fashion game for the show. “I actually have two jackets, which is a big thing for me. That’s like a J.Lo thing for me… Stay for the whole show, you may see the second jacket.”
