Last night, rapper Drake professed his love for Rihanna onstage while presenting her with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.
He told the audience, “We love the music, which could change styles from album to album. We love the videos, which change their artistic vision from year to year. But most of all, we love the woman who hasn't changed since day one. She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22 years old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her even though she's younger than me.”
After she heard his declaration of love, Rihanna flashed a big smile and playfully rolled her eyes while facing away from the cameras. They eventually shared a sweet kiss before she addressed the star-studded crowd.
Once the award ceremony was over, the two, who have never confirmed they are dating, hit an after-party together at the Up & Down club in NYC.
Drake also posted a selfie of himself kissing Rihanna on the cheek and wrote on Instagram, "This is a night for us all to be thankful for what you have done for us! You have affected so many of our lives in the best way possible. Tonight we celebrate you! @badgalriri”.
A few days ago, Drake made news after he congratulated Rihanna for her VMA with a billboar that reads, "Congratulations to Rihanna from Drake and Everyone at OVO."
