Last night, singer Katy Perry celebrated Hillary Clinton’s Democratic nomination by taking the stage at the DNC.
Before Katy performed her hit songs “Rise” and “Roar,” she told the crowd, "Both of my parents are pastors, and staunch Republicans. I didn't finish high school and, unfortunately, I don't have a formal education. But I do have an open mind, and I have a voice. So I'm asking you to have an open mind and to use your voice, because on November 8, you'll be just as powerful as any NRA lobbyist… Here’s how I’m going to use my voice: I’m going vote for Hillary Clinton.” Watch!
While Katy addressed the crowd, cameras panned to boyfriend Orlando Bloom, who seemed quite proud of her — he even recorded her speech on his phone. To see her full performance, watch here!
Katy and Orlando were caught holding hands backstage at the convention, which was also attended by her BFF Mia Moretti.

Mia also shared a cute photo of Katy and Orlando at the DNC, captioning, "Four prom dates are better than one. Blessed to have friends that use their hearts & their voices to fight for a fair healthy balanced world, because it is SO SO important! I hope you join us.”
Katy has been supporter of Hillary for years. In 2014, she offered to write Hillary’s theme song and earlier this year, she took Orlando to a NYC fundraiser backing Hillary.
