Former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno recently survived a scary car crash while shooting a segment for his show “Jay Leno’s Garage.”
A camera also caught Leno inside the car when it flipped over over on a California speedway after veteran stunt driver Bob Riggle lost control. Watch!
Luckily, Leno and Riggle, who wore safety helmets and were securely strapped in, did not suffer any injuries in the crash. After the car landed on its four wheels, Riggle asked Leno, "Damnit, you all right?” A man also approached the two to make sure neither suffered a concussion. Leno even joked, "My name is Bob Riggle and I’m 80 and I’m at Irwindale.”
Jay added, “This has been on my bucket list since I was a kid, ever since it stood up in 1965. The Hemi Under Glass has been the king of the wheelstanders at dragstrips all across the country."
