The son of former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star Lauri Peterson was arrested on Monday for attempted murder, reports the OC Register.
Joshua Waring, 27, allegedly shot a man in the torso in Costa Mesa, and then fled from police in a stolen car. The chase ended in a standoff in Santa Ana.
Waring, who has a history of arrest, is facing charges of suspicion of attempted murder, vehicle theft, felony evading police and hit and run. His bail is set at $1 million.
The victim, Daniel Lopez, was hospitalized. His injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Peterson left “RHOC” in 2008 to focus on Joshua and his daughter.
She told the Daily Dish last year, "As most of the viewers know, I have a son and he's had just a lot of challenges. And he and his wife had a baby almost three years ago. He’s really struggling and, well, they’re both really struggling. And so [my husband] George and I elected to help out and we actually adopted Kennedy, and so we’re raising her."
