On Friday evening, First Lady Michelle Obama stunned in a blush organza gown by Naeem Khan — one of her favorite designers — at the twelfth official state dinner of her husband's presidency.
People magazine described the dress as possibly being a bookend choice for Mrs. Obama, who wore Khan to her very first state dinner, back in 2009, honoring India.
The lavish affair attracted an eclectic group of famous folks, including Aziz Ansari, Connie Britton, Common, Billy Eichner, Will Ferrell, Jidenna, Miranda Kerr, David Letterman, Kyle MacLachlan, Janelle Monae, Al Roker, Tracee Ellis Ross, Allison Williams, and Bellamy Young. Demi Lovato provided musical entertainment.
Miranda Kerr memorialized her visit, with boyfriend Evan Spiegel (Snapchat CEO):
Tracee Ellis Ross practiced looking "stately":
Billy Eichner captured a pic with late-night legend David Letterman, who has really changed up his look since retiring:
Kyle MacLachlan (with wife Desiree) was ready with a "Portlandia" joke:
The state dinner honored Nordic leaders Prime Minister of Denmark Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Prime Minister of Norway Erna Solberg, Prime Minister of Iceland Sigurður Ingi Jóhannsson, President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Löfven.
