In the new documentary "The Queen at Ninety," Kate Middleton is opening up about the unique bond shared by her daughter, Princess Charlotte, and Queen Elizabeth.
According to People magazine, Kate, looking lovely in royal blue, gushes in the special, "The Queen was really thrilled that it was a little girl, and I think as soon as we came back here to Kensington she was one of our first visitors here."
The interview also marks the first time Kate has spoken publicly and at length about being a mom.
"It's very special having a new little girl," she goes on in the clip from the film, created to honor the longest-reigning British monarch in history on the occasion of her 90th birthday. "I feel very, very lucky that George has got a little sister."
"The Queen at Ninety" airs on ITV in the U.K. on March 27. The Queen will turn 90 on April 21.
