On Thursday, Nick Cannon opened up about his ex-wife Mariah Carey’s recent engagement to billionaire James Packer.
The “America’s Got Talent” host had nothing but nice things to say about his ex while kicking off the new season of the NBC show. He told “Extra's” Terri Seymour, “I think we're all mature enough and have grown to love each other in so many different ways that you just want to see people that you care about in the happiest situation possible.”
In late January, Packer popped the question to Carey with a 35-carat ring.
Moving on from Mariah’s engagement, Cannon also chatted about how happy he was to see executive producer Simon Cowell join “AGT” on screen as a judge. Cowell is taking over for Howard Stern and bringing with him the brutal honesty that he was most known for on “American Idol.” Nick shared, “We haven’t had Simon on American television for a minute. It’s about bringing that vibe that we all missed for the past couple of years.”
Simon will be joined on the judging panel by Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum.
