When Jennifer hit the stage to honor James, she said, "We would do anything for Jim Burrows because he really gave us the opportunity of a lifetime. We experienced friendship, family, heartbreak, babies — everything — together. And we also had a wonderful experience with the world loving us as well.”
Later in the show, Aniston was again seen wiping away tears while Burrows took the stage to thank his colleagues.
The tribute also featured the “Friends” cast answering questions from host Andy Cohen, who asked if they had to sign contracts “saying that you wouldn’t sleep with each other” and if they were actual friends on the set of the hit show. Watch!
Jennifer responded, "At the beginning it was not a hard thing, we really just wanted to hang out with each other. It was not, 'Ugh, we have to do this.' We just really fell in love and adored each other instantly and would hang out at each other’s houses and watch the show together.”
Matthew Perry was noticeably absent, since he was in London rehearsing for the play "The End of Longing." He did manage to introduce his four co-stars via a pre-recorded video.
Actors from “Taxi," “Cheers," "The Big Bang Theory," “Frasier," "Will & Grace," and "Mike & Molly” were also on hand to pay tribute to Burrows.
