Oscar winner Kim Basinger is joining the “Fifty Shades” franchise as Christian Grey's former lover Elena Lincoln in “Fifty Shades Darker,” reports Variety.
Elena is Christian's Mrs. Robinson, the one who showed him all the, er, ropes for BDSM.
Jamie Dornan returns as Christian the kinky millionaire, and Dakota Johnson reprises as Anastasia Steele, the young college graduate beginning to dabble in an erotic lifestyle.
“Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed” both begin filming in the spring.
