In her Vanity Fair cover story, Kelly said Trump would send her positive press about herself, signing his name to the packages, and would call her to compliment her on her segments.
"I didn't know why he was doing that," she told Vanity Fair. "And then when he announced he was running for president, it became more clear. But I can't be wooed."
On Tuesday, Trump told The Hill that "the last person in the world I would try to woo is Megyn Kelly." Rather, he claims his campaign sends anchors polling data, and that there was no ulterior motive.
Trump's battle with Kelly doesn't seem to be over. "I'm not sure she can be fair and balanced," he told The Hill, "because she has a thing with Donald Trump."
