Jason Derulo Dishes on His New Relationship with Daphne Joy
At last night's People's Choice Awards 2016, “Extra's” Renee Bargh was on the red carpet with the biggest stars of the night, including Jason Derulo, who opened up about his “fairly new" relationship with model girlfriend Daphne Joy.
Jason, who brought down the house with his People's Choice performance, took his girlfriend Daphne Joy as his date, making it their first public red-carpet appearance together. Renee told Derulo, "So I see that you debuted a special lady friend tonight on the carpet?” Derulo responded, “Yes… it's Daphne Joy. It's a beautiful date night for us. It's the first time we're on the carpet together, so it's a big step, right?”
Renee commented that Derulo and Joy looked like they are in the fairly new stage of their relationship, Derulo laughed, "Exactly. That's when it's new, right?… When you look like you hate each other, that's when you've had a couple years.”
As for looking like a choreographed couple on the carpet, Derulo admitted, "We actually did a couple [practice poses], like, is this a good pose?"
