On Monday, Kourtney Kardashian revealed the secret behind how she dealt with her breakup from Scott Disick in July — Kardashian hit the gym and got in the best shape of her life.

She shared on her website and app, "When I was pregnant with Reign [Disick], I knew that I was going to go hard at working out afterwards. I couldn't wait to feel strong and in shape again. I didn't know that I would be going through a breakup and just an overall crazy year. Everyone deals with hard times in their lives differently. I'm generally not a nervous person but I get anxious.”

She continued, "I try to exercise 5 days a week. My anxiety is always worse in the mornings so that's when I schedule my workouts. I usually start with a quick run or jumping rope to warm up. I have to do something fast to really kill [my anxiety].”

Throughout the year, Kourtney showed off her fit body on social media, but never revealed her motivation until now. She explained, "People are very quick to judge others by appearance but you truly don't know what someone's motivation is or what is going on inside them. For me, exercise is as much about my body as it is about calming my mind.”
