"iZombie" is going country!
In tonight's episode, titled "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues," Liv eats the brains of a country songwriter, and gets to show off her singing abilities.
ExtraTV.com caught up with stars Rose McIver and Malcolm Goodwin on the set in Vancouver to get the scoop on what's in store… and got more than we bargained for.
Rose told reporters, "It was a little nerve-wracking singing as Liv… there is something about the vulnerability of when you are actually singing and putting on a character and meshing those two was unusual for me. It's not something I had done. It was a good opportunity. They wrote a beautiful song. They did a great job."
They also admitted there was a hilarious scene from the episode that didm't make the cut.
Rose laid out the scene for us, saying, "When Liv goes to the country music club initially, there had been talk of Clive being already there. Clive is a line dancer, apparently [laughs]. He was going to be line dancing!"
Malcolm added that he was prepared. "I bought a line dancing video game. You know like Dance Dance Revolution, there is a line dancing, country dancing [version]."
He told the bosses, "I am ready, I've got the game I'm ready to go!"
McIver called it a "missed opportunity," while teasing that fans will see a lot more of Clive in an upcoming epsidoe.
Be sure to watch "iZombie" tonight at 9 p.m. on The CW.
