Lamar Odom is fighting for his life at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas.
The source added, "Lamar is still fighting. It's a waiting game right now. The first 48 hours will tell a lot."
Radar insiders make the situation sound even more dire, claiming his "kidneys are failing" and his "lungs have collapsed," as "have some other organs [doctors] are trying to revive."
"He's unconscious but [his] heart is fine… his heart is the only thing that is fine," the insider said.
Sources tell EOnline.com that doctors are treating the case as an overdose and that due to loss of oxygen and possible strokes that "likely there's brain damage, but they're not sure how much," adding that brain damage does not mean he's brain-dead.
Love Ranch owner Dennis Hof told Radar that Odom arrived to the brothel on Saturday and had been taking herbal Viagra and drinking cognac. He wasn't aware of the basketball star using any other substances.
Hospital witnesses, however, told TMZ that doctors found cocaine and opiates in the 35-year-old's system, and track marks on his arms.
An Eonline.com insider said, "Virtually every drug imaginable was found in his system," while another source added, "He was doing crack cocaine all weekend and he choked on his mucous. They're now having to fix all the damage it has done."
