‘The View’ Shakeup: Is Rosie Perez Leaving and Are There More Changes Ahead?

As new rumors of shake-up drama plague “The View,” the latest report says co-host Rosie Perez may be exiting after only four months on the show.

Variety reported on Wednesday that Perez, who has been notably absent on the panel for last few weeks, is definitely leaving, but in a statement from the show, ABC said the actress is "currently in rehearsal for her Broadway play for the month of January. Her status with the show has not changed."

According to DailyMail.com, sources say ABC is also reportedly considering replacing the show with an extended “Good Morning America,” but the network has denied the show will be cancelled.

Co-host Rosie O'Donnell commented on the report on the morning show on Thursday, saying, “After she is done rehearsing her new Larry David play, she will be back here at her job regardless of what you hear on other shows or read in magazines.”

Perez was selected in September as a new co-host, along with Nicolle Wallace and Rosie O'Donnell, who joined returning co-host Whoopi Goldberg.
