Davis was delighted to find out that Meryl Streep is a huge fan of the show, and offered, “If she is watching this, I would love her to come on and play my mother-in-law. Come on, Meryl, play my mother-in-law! I mean where else but in Shondaland would Meryl Streep be my mother-in-law?”
Streep and Davis starred together in “Doubt,” the 2008 big-screen adaptation of the Broadway play.
As for the new Michael Mann thriller “Blackhat,” in which she plays an FBI agent trying to track down a mystery hacker wreaking havoc, the actress said it has changed the way she does things online.
Viola also addressed rumors she is set to play a villain in the upcoming DC Comics movie “Suicide Squad.” She said, “We’ll see if I’m playing a supervillain… a really bad woman. “Blackhat” hacks into theaters January 16.
