The argument started during the Hot Topics segment, as they discussed a story Michelle Obama recently shared about President Obama being mistaken for a valet.
O’Donnell claimed those types of incidents are an example of racism in America, "We have to face it."
Whoopi disagreed, calling the mistake “ignorance.” "You guys need to know what real racism is.”
The discussion got even more heated as the conversation continued with the panel, including guest co-host Laverne Cox.
At one point, Whoopi told Rosie she was "a white lady telling me what is racist to you."
O’Donnell explained that she has had to deal with homophobic slurs and that she has a black child, adding, "You don't have to be black to know what racism is."
"Yes, you do," Goldberg replied. "That is not the same."
Thursday night, O’Donnell appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and talked candidly about another co-host, Nicole Wallace.
A screaming fight broke out on “The View” on Thursday between Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg.
