After much speculation, original “Star Wars” actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are officially joining the cast of “Star Wars: Episode VII.”

The movie’s Facebook page made the casting announcement, posting a pic of an on-set read through.

Director J.J. Abrams wrote, "We are so excited to finally share the cast of ‘Star Wars: Episode VII.’ It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud."

The highly anticipated sequel will also star newcomers John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, along with Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow.

Original “Star Wars” cast members Kenny Baker (R2-D2), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) are joining as well.

The film is set for release on December 18, 2015.
