Gordon became a music manager after moving to L.A. and befriending the likes of Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison and Jimi Hendrix, eventually repping rock stars like Pink Floyd, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass and Alice Cooper. Shep went on to manage chefs such as Emeril Lagasse and was instrumental in creating TV celebrity chefs.
