The fashion world was in mourning on Monday, as news broke that designer L’Wren Scott was found dead of an apparent suicide.
Police told the New York Daily News that the Medical Examiner’s Office would determine Scott's cause of death.
A spokesperson for Mick Jagger told "Extra" that he is completely shocked and devastated by the news. The rocker, who had been dating the 6' 4" former model since 2001, is currently on tour with the Rolling Stones in Australia.
Scott was forced to cancel her London Fashion Week show in February due to production issues. See some of her earlier designs at LwrenScott.com.
L'Wren had a long relationship with fashion. After working as a model, she eventually moved to L.A. in the 1990s to work as a celebrity stylist for Julia Roberts, Madonna and others. In 2006, she launched her first collection, called Little Black Dress. She even dabbled in costume design for films like "Ocean's 13" and "Eyes Wide Shut."
Not only was she a favorite among celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, Nicole Kidman and Michelle Obama, but Scott was rumored to be in the running to design Angelina Jolie's wedding dress.
