Metallica fans got a real treat on Friday when lead singer and guitarist James Hetfield and lead guitarist Kirk Hammett performed the National Anthem at the San Francisco Giants home opener against the L.A. Dodgers.

The special performance, which included Giants jerseys and guitars, was part of “Metallica Night.” The entire team got into the ‘80s spirit in their scoreboard photographs… wild hair, headbands and of course Metallica T-shirts.

After Hetfield and Hammett performed, drummer Lars Ulrich threw the first pitch!

The Giants won the game 2-1.
