Boston Bombing Victim to Appear on ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Adrianne Haslet-Davis, a dance instructor and professional ballroom dancer who lost part of her leg in the Boston Marathon bombing, will be a special guest on “Dancing with the Stars.”
Adrianne told “Extra” she was in disbelief when she got the invite. “I think the show is just phenomenal,” she said. “Obviously I am a fan of anybody that can teach anyone how to dance, being a teacher myself, and I think it is wonderful to see people’s journey.”
Haslet-Davis said she would be “fortunate” to dance with any of the pros considering their “inspiration” and “expertise,” but admitted she does have a little crush on Derek Hough.
Adrianne didn’t spill the beans on what her appearance will entail, saying viewers will have to stay tuned.
Moving forward, she has her heart set on teaching. “My goal is to continue to teach,” she said. “I never want to get away from that, no matter what. I love my students.” She also wants to continue to “inspire” people, pursue “pro dancing,” and run the 2014 Boston Marathon.
Adrianne is on the road to recovery, but admitted she still has hard days.
