Sharon Osbourne 'Devastated' by Ozzy's Drug Relapse
TV personality Sharon Osbourne is “devastated” by husband Ozzy Osbourne's relapse with drugs and alcohol. Opening up on “The Talk,” the co-host told the audience that the rocker has been in a “very dark place,” but they are “dealing with it.”
"Everybody knows he's been struggling with this his entire life, and I never knew that he was using prescription drugs," she said. "I knew he was drinking occasionally, but I didn't realize to what extent. It's our business -- we're dealing with it. We're not getting divorced. However, am I happy? No. Am I upset? Yes, I am -- I'm devastated right now."
Addressing Ozzy's April 15 Facebook confession, Sharon added, "He's been using alcohol and prescription drugs for the last year and a half… and he has been in a very dark place. That's true. It's very true.”
Osbourne also noted, “It's a disease that not only hurts the person that has the disease, but it hurts the family," she continued. "It hurts people that love you and we're dealing with it."
Ozzy said as much in his Facebook post, telling the world, “I was in a very dark place and was an a**hole to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober.”
As far as Sharon is concerned, “This too shall pass.” "Otherwise my husband will be taken to the hospital to get my foot removed from his ass."
