Aniston had several circular marks on her back, which looked to be covered up by makeup. These marks could be the result of “cupping” therapy, an ancient form of alternative medicine in which cups are placed on the skin to create suction and mobilize blood flow in order to promote the healing of a broad range of medical ailments.
The cups can be made of a variety of materials, including glass, bamboo and earthenware. Other celebrity supporters of this unique therapy included Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Simpson.
