Royal Hoax Nurse Criticized Hospital Staff in Suicide Note
Nurse Jacintha Saldhana, who killed herself after taking a prank call involving Kate Middleton, reportedly criticized hospital staff in a suicide note she left for her family.
The 46-year-old mother of two left three letters, according to the New York Daily News. One condemned her co-workers for the way she was treated after the incident, a second note described the aftermath of the hoax from her perspective, and the third detailed funeral arrangements.
A source told the Daily Mirror that Jacintha's husband, Ben Barboza, wants answers. The insider said, “Needless to say, Ben wants a full inquiry into what happened and he wants to make sure the truth comes out.”
Jacintha was the nurse on duty last week when two Australian deejays called King Edward VII's Hospital. They posed as Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles and inquired about the expectant Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton. Saldhana patched the call through to a nurse in Kate's ward.
There are reports that the deejays are now receiving death threats.
