“Extra’s” Mario Lopez caught up with CBS News Travel Editor Peter Greenberg to get the latest travel tips for those stranded by Superstorm Sandy.



Normal travel likely won’t resume until Sunday or Monday, so the sharks could be circling. Beware of scams, especially when it comes to rental cars, Greenberg said.

“The rental car price is not the issue, it’s the drop off charge,” he explained. “You better negotiate that before you ever sign on the dotted line.” For example, if you need to get to Pittsburgh from New York and you can’t fly, you don’t want to spend $500 to drop off the car.
