'Idol' Top 10 Revealed, Shannon Magrane Gets the Boot
The "American Idol" top 12 was down one contestant going into this week's performances with the disqualification of Jermaine Jones, who was sent packing after it was discovered he lied about a criminal past.
The remaining 11 "Idol" hopefuls then took the stage Wednesday, performing songs from the year they were born.
Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips, Skylar Laine and Elise Testone all received rave reviews from the judges this week, while Erika Van Pelt, Shannon Magrane and Elise Testone found themselves in the bottom three.
Who went home? That would be 16-year-old Shannon Magrane, whose rendition of Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day" didn't quite hit the mark.
"Thank you guys so much because you guys have been so loyal to me and so honest with me," Shannon said to her fans and to the judges. "I just want to say it feels so good standing on this stage."
Guest performances included Demi Lovato and "Idol" alum Chris Daughtry and his band.
The "American Idol" top 10, who will go on tour this summer, will perform next week on FOX!
