Mark Wahlberg on His Next Movie, Fatherhood and Healthy Living
Actor/producer Mark Wahlberg came to the 2012 Golden Globes to support his nominated HBO show "Boardwalk Empire," talking with "Extra's" Mario Lopez about his next project, being a dad - and launching his own health and wellness business.
"The next movie I got is a comedy," said Wahlberg. "It's not like just because you get a little Academy love all of a sudden you have to change and take your self too seriously. I want to make movies that audiences will enjoy and to play parts that people identify with me and that really entertain people."
On protecting his daughters, the "Contraband" actor explained, "A man who has a daughter becomes a real man because now everything changes. If somebody says, 'Oh my god, look at her!' I'm like, 'What's wrong with you? That's someone's daughter!' I have a lot of friends who have boys, and they just don't get it in a way that they should."
Wahlberg also talked about his new health and wellness venture. "It's a vitamin supplement and sports nutrition line with GNC. We want to inspire people -- guys, girls, young, old -- to live well. Be healthy, exercise and have good nutrition. Once you look good, you feel good. It's called 'Marked' and it's coming soon. It's important we have to motivate people to live a long, healthy life!"
