Singer Beyoncé and her music mogul husband Jay-Z welcomed their first child Saturday, a baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter!
According to several reports, Beyoncé, 30, checked into Lenox Hill Hospital on New York's Upper East Side on Friday and gave birth Saturday.
Although the couple has yet to respond officially, their friends and family have taken to their Twitter accounts to spread the joyous news.
"The most beautiful girl in the world," Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles, tweeted Sunday morning.
Rihanna wrote Saturday night, "Welcome to the world princess Carter. Love Aunty Rih."
"Welcome to the world Blue!" Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted Sunday morning. "We love you already."
The "Single Lady" singer's pregnancy was followed closely, with rumors flying madly over the New Year's weekend that she had given birth.
The first-time mom announced she was expecting at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.
