Taking the spotlight at two giant movie premieres in New York City, "Iron Lady's" Meryl Streep and "Albert Nobbs" star Glenn Close walked the red carpet on Tuesday evening.
Veteran actress Streep transformed herself into "The Iron Lady," also known as former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and said of her character, "She's a very decisive figure. So, I like difficult women." Streep added, "I like the opportunity to play her as an old lady as well, because I like old ladies."
Glenn Close, in a gender-bending role in "Albert Nobbs," poses as a man in 19th century Ireland. Close addressed Oscar buzz for the film, saying, "It would be thrilling. It would be a great honor."
