Marc Anthony Denies Cheating on J.Lo; Separation Wasn't 'Sensationalistic'
In Marc Anthony's exclusive interview with John Quinones of ABC's "Nightline," the singer spoke of his separation from wife Jennifer Lopez and denied allegations of cheating.
Anthony summed up his failed marriage to just that, without revealing any specific reasons -- simply insisting, "these things happen," and "it wasn't something sensationalistic."
When asked if he wanted a divorce, Marc replied, "It's a decision that we made jointly, and that's how I'll answer that."
The father of two explained he will "always love Jennifer," but life goes on. "This is not a funeral. This is just two people who came together and realized... that it wasn't sustainable the way it was, and that's that."
He continued, "Jennifer's a wonderful, wonderful woman, a wonderful woman, a wonderful friend, you know. We understand this to be a long story. This is not a short story."
Anthony shied away from answering questions about dating again. "That's like asking a boxer in the twelfth round if he's going to retire or not... He'll always say, 'I'm done. I'm done.' You know what I mean? And then two weeks later is when you ask him. So give me two weeks," he laughed.
