Sarah Jessica Parker on New Film and 'SATC' Prequel Rumors
"Extra" correspondent AJ Calloway surprised actress Sarah Jessica Parker with flowers when she sat down to talk with him about her upcoming dramedy, "I Don't Know How She Does It," and about those murmurings there might be a "Sex and the City" prequel.
In "I Don't Know How She Does It," Parker plays a woman who is juggling a successful career with motherhood and marriage, and the actress admitted it isn't easy. She just hopes she is representing these women to the best of her ability.
In fact, during the production, Parker received an email saying head lice had broken out in the school of her son, James Wilkie - which, coincidentally, is the exact situation her "How She Does It" character goes through in the film!
Parker laughed, "I had to send it to Doug McGrath, our director, who was, of course, repulsed and grossed-out and terrified to be near me because he knows our son creeps into our bed and likely shares a pillow and likely shares lice." Thankfully, James Wilkie was not affected. "I'm happy to report my son has yet to find friendly critters."
As to the "SATC" rumors, she says, "There is no prequel... thus far," said Parker, but added, "Who knows what the future holds?"
The lovely blonde is also excited about her upcoming involvement in the Vogue event "Fashion's Night Out," which takes place September 8 in NYC. "I've designed a shoe with Manolo Blahnik, so I'll be there, signing shoes and raising money for the New York City public schools!"
And you can see Parker, along with co-stars Greg Kinnear and Pierce Brosnan, in "I Don't Know How She Does It," in theaters September 16. Watch the trailer!
