'Conan' Fights, Colin's 'Fright' at the Movies This Weekend

Here's a preview of what's at the movies the weekend of August 19th, including the sword-slashing "Conan the Barbarian," the campy horror film "Fright Night" starring Colin Farrell, the romantic drama "One Day" starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, and the kid flick "Spy Kids 4D: All the Time in the World" starring Jessica Alba.

'Conan the Barbarian' (Aug. 19)

Who: Jason Momoa, Stephen Lang, Rose McGowan, Rachel Nichols; directed by Marcus Nispel What: This actioner focuses on Conan the Cimmerian and his adventures across the continent of Hyboria on a quest to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.

'Fright Night' (Aug. 19)

Who: Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, David Tennant, Imogen Poots, Christopher Mintz-Plasse; directed by Craig Gillespie What: A teenager suspects his charismatic next-door neighbor could indeed be a vampire, terrorizing his Las Vegas suburb.

'One Day' (Aug. 19)

Who: Anne Hathaway, Jim Sturgess; directed by Lone Scherfig What: After spending the night together on the night of their college graduation Dexter and Em are shown each year on the same date to see where they are in their lives. They are sometimes together, sometimes not, on that day.

'Final Destination 5' (Aug. 12)

Who: Nicholas D'Agosto, Emma Bell and Arlen Escarpeta; directed by Steven Quale What: Survivors of a suspension-bridge collapse learn there's no way you can cheat Death... again.

'30 Minutes or Less' (Aug. 12)

Who: Jesse Eisenberg, Aziz Ansari, Danny McBride, Nick Swardson; directed by Ruben Fleischer What: Two fledgling criminals kidnap a pizza delivery guy, strap a bomb to his chest, and inform him that he has mere hours to rob a bank or else...

'Glee: The 3D Concert Movie' (Aug. 12)

Who: Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron, Lea Michele, Chris Colfer and the rest of the cast of "Glee" What: What else? The gang sings while on their 2011 summer tour.

'The Help' (Aug. 10)

Who: Emma Stone, Viola Davis, Bryce Dallas Howard, Octavia Spencer; directed by Tate Taylor What: Set in the 1960s, this is a look at what happens when a Southern town's unspoken code of rules and behavior is shattered by three courageous women who strike up an unlikely friendship.

'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' (Aug. 5)

Who: James Franco, Freida Pinto, John Ligthgow, Tom Felton, Andy Serkis; directed by Rupert Wyatt What: This origin story in the "Planet of the Apes" franchise is set in present day San Francisco, where man's own experiments with genetic engineering lead to the development of intelligence in apes and the onset of a war for supremacy.

'The Change-Up' (Aug. 5)

Who: Jason Bateman, Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Mann, Olivia Wilde; directed by David Dobkin What: This comedy centers around a married father (Bateman) and his womanizing best friend (Reynolds), who accidentally switches bodies.

'Spy Kids 4D: All the Time in the World' (Aug. 19)

Who: Jessica Alba, Joel McHale, Jeremy Piven, Alexa Vega, Rowan Blanchard, Mason Cook; written and directed by Robert Rodriguez What: A retired spy (Alba) is called back into action, and to bond with her new step-children, she invites them along for the adventure to stop the evil Timekeeper from taking over the world.
