Actress Nicollette Sheridan isn't expecting to make an appearance on "Desperate Housewives" for the eighth and final season.
On the "Today" show Monday, Sheridan was asked about "Housewives" creator Marc Cherry and his comments the actress would come back for the finale when the show goes off the air for good next May.
"That's news to me," said Sheridan. "I had an amazing time playing that character. I loved her dearly, but they killed her! She's dead."
Sheridan's character Edie Britt was killed off the ABC hit show two years ago after five seasons amid rumors of feuding with Cherry, against whom she filed a $20 million wrongful termination lawsuit.
