"Glee" star Jane Lynch took "Extra" behind the scenes as she prepares to host the 2011 Do Something Awards August 18 on VH1.
The awards show honors young people and their volunteerism. "It's inspirational to the kids watching it. It's inspirational to me, and they're really out there in the trenches, creating the change."
And how is she preparing to host the 2011 Emmy Awards? Lynch quipped, "No one has given me any tips about Emmy hosting, but Jimmy Fallon did send me flowers."
