Lifechangers: Subway Hero and Son Live MLB Dream
New York resident Carlos Flores, who saved a man's life last November after getting him off a NYC subway track, counts his own 10-year-old son, Carlos Jr., as one of his heroes.
"My son, wow, we've been through a lot together since he was born," Flores explained to "Extra." Carlos Jr. has had several surgeries, including one that had to amputate fingers from his right hand. But that hasn't stopped the youngster, a die-hard Yankees fan, from playing baseball.
"Extra" sent father and son to the MLB network to show off Carlos Jr.'s skills, where the son found out from former Yankee player Jim Abbott, who played without a right hand, that Carlos Jr. will throw the first pitch at the Yankees first game April 13!
