"Extra's" Renee Bargh sat down with Elton John to talk about his new baby boy, whether he'd ever be a judge on "The X Factor" -- and the upcoming royal wedding.
"It can't get any better at the moment," beamed John about one-month old Zachary, who was born Christmas Day. Talking with "Extra" at the junket for John's new Disney film, "Gnomeo & Juliet," the singer said he and partner David Furnish's priorities would change "when Zachary goes to school, yeah. But we intend to take him around with us while we're within the United States. My dogs go everywhere, so why shouldn't my son?!"
Elton refuted the rumor he was asked by Simon Cowell to be a judge on the U.S. version of "The X Factor." "I don't do talent shows. I was asked to do 'American Idol' and I turned that one down," the singer explained. "But 'X Factor' is gonna be a huge program, and Simon's a brilliant man."
As for the upcoming Prince William and Kate Middleton royal wedding, John said he hasn't be invited but feels the late Princess Diana, who one of John's good friends, would be "so pleased that he's marrying what seems to be a really wonderful girl."
"Gnomeo & Juliet" opens in theaters February 11.
