"Exfoliating removes the outer layer of skin, shedding dead cells and stimulating new growth," Nurse Jamie explains. "This helps unclog pores, keeps skin clean, and reduces acne breakouts." Nurse Jamie's Favorite Exfoliator Recipe (For Men)
Ingredients:
Πcup water
Ÿ cup baking soda
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients. Apply to face in gentle circular motions, leave on face for 2-3 minutes and then rinse.
Apply in small circular motions avoiding the eye area. Be careful not to over-exfoliate, which dries and irritates the skin. The face is the part of the body most sensitive to exfoliation. Hence, provided that exfoliation causes the skin to dry out, it is very important to moisturize newly exposed skin with a moisturizer containing SPF.
Nurse Jamie's Favorite Exfoliator Recipe (For Women)
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon macadamia nut oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 Tbsp ground oatmeal (not instant)
Instructions:
Mix all the ingredients. Apply to face in gentle, circular motions. Leave on face for 2-3 minutes and rinse.
