Singer Aretha Franklin was forced last week to cancel all upcoming events to undergo emergency surgery, but has not revealed details. Now, according to a family friend, the Queen of Soul has cancer.
The National Enquirer is reporting that Frankin's cancer is pancreatic, and that she has less than a year to live.
The friend told myFOXdetroit.com that the family is "very concerned," but say she's doing "okay."
Although the soul singer's surgery was a success, she has canceled all concerts through May 2011 due to "medical reasons."
