Bristol Palin: I Hope My Mom Comes to 'DWTS' Next Time
After weeks of speculation, former Gov. Sarah Palin was not in attendance to see daughter Bristol cha-cha her way to 18 out of 30 points on the premiere of "Dancing with the Stars."
Bristol told "Extra's" Lauren Sanchez that she "hopes" her mom will be in the audience if she makes it another week.
The former Republican VP candidate watched Bristol from her home in Alaska, joined by family and friends, tweeting a pic last night that said, "Over-the-moon excited and happy for Bristol! Cheering her on @ DWTS party in the Palin living room," from which Russia is visible.
The political daughter and teen motherhood prevention spokesperson didn't enter the competition without a little advice from mom -- "She told me to be confident and just have fun with it," Bristol said.
Last night's frontrunner was "Dirty Dancing" star Jennifer Grey, who had a sudden breakdown during a rehearsal when overwhelmed by memories of good friend and co-star Patrick Swayze.
"You know how you listen to a song and it takes you back in time?" Grey explained. "It just dropped down into me."
Find out who'll be the first to go home when "DWTS" airs tonight on ABC!
