Phoenix: 'I've Got $1 Mil -- What Have You Got B****?'
Joaquin Phoenix's transition from Oscar nominee to hip hop star has been rocky -- and a Miami Beach performance was no exception!
The "Walk the Line" star -- looking disheveled in a dark suit, scraggly hair and beard -- waited four hours before taking the stage at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach hotel nightclub, and when Joaquin grabbed the mic at 4 AM, he began rapping to a beat -- only to be heckled by an audience member!
Phoenix declared, "We have a (double-expletive) in the audience," adding, "I've got $1 million in the bank -- what have you got, b****?" He then jumped off the stage and into the crowd to confront the man who taunted him! It is unclear if the men exchanged blows. Joaquin was dragged back to the stage and escorted away by the club's security guards.
It seems some audience members don't buy Phoenix's career shift as legitimate -- Joaquin's brother-in-law, Casey Affleck, has been filming a documentary about Phoenix's transition to rapper, leading the public to believe the whole move is a giant farce. Casey was at the club, camera in hand, while Joaquin performed and exchanged words with the audience member.
