Is hero pilot Charles "Sully" Sullenbererg changing planes -- to fly with Virgin Air?
That rumor won't fly. There were whispers that Virgin Air billionaire Richard Branson offered him a job, but reps for the US Airways captain told "Extra" they aren't aware of an official job offer. "To my knowledge, we have not been contacted directly by Sir Richard Branson or his team. We know nothing about it besides what we've read in the media."
The reps go on to say that Sully, who successfully landed US Airways flight 1549 in the Hudson river, was humbled by the idea but is looking forward to resuming his pilot duties for US Airways.
