A-listers Brad Pitt and Angie Jolie have donated $1 million to children suffering from the Iraq War, reports People magazine. The money -- coming from the couple's Jolie-Pitt Foundation -- will be given to the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict (EPCC), which Jolie co-founded last year.
"These educational support programs for children of conflict are the best way to help them heal," Jolie said. Pitt added, "We hope to encourage others to give to these great organizations."
$500,000 of the donation given by the megastar couple will provide enough funds to bring 2,500 more children into the Armed Service YMCA Operation Hero Program -- a group that educates and supports children of military personnel serving in the war. The other $500,000 will go to organizations benefiting Iraqi women and children.
