Winehouse: Testing 1,2,3
Amy Winehouse was permitted to leave a London hospital for a rehearsal yesterday. She has been receiving treatment for a lung ailment after she collapsed last week, reports People.
The singer, 24, went to a practice session for a performance at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebration to take place this Friday, and found time to shop for a pair of her trademark pink ballet slippers.
Backtracking from her father's recent report that the "Rehab" singer has emphysema, rep Chris Goodman now says her illness is a "scarring of the lungs which could lead to emphysema. If she keeps doing the wrong things, then it could lead to it. If she does the right things, it won't."
Winehouse has been warned by doctors not to smoke, but she was seen with a lit cigarette outside the hospital. Will she be well enough to perform? "Doctors have to give it the final sign off, but it went well," Goodman said. "She will really enjoy it -- she always does."
