Fans of Avril Lavigne will not be getting "The Best Damn Thing" from their favorite crooner, as the star has postponed six more shows following cancellations in San Diego and Phoenix.
Lavigne has acute laryngitis, according to an apologetic statement to her fans on Saturday. "My sincerest apologies to all my fans," Avril said. "My intention was to complete the rest of the tour, but tonight at a sound check in Anaheim I realized this wasn't possible."
The 23-year-old explained that while she'd given her voice a serious rest, it didn't help. "When I tried to sing, nothing came out," she said.
Refunds will be available on Monday for tickets purchased for the canceled shows in Anaheim, Universal City, Santa Barbara and San Jose, in addition to Spokane and Everett.
